Contraindications

Please review the guidance for your chosen treatment before booking. If you are unsure whether a treatment is suitable for you, consult your doctor and contact us before your appointment.

Deep Pore Cleansing Facial (60 min)

Absolute contraindications

  • Active inflammatory acne, including cystic breakouts
  • Open or compromised skin
  • Impaired or weakened skin barrier (irritation, peeling, sensitivity)
  • Accutane (current or recent use)
  • Pregnancy

Pre-treatment — please pause before your visit

  • Tretinoin / prescription retinoids — stop 5–7 days before
  • Retinol — stop 3 days before
  • Exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) — stop 3–5 days before

Recent treatments — allow time between procedures

  • Chemical peels (medium/deep) — wait 2–4 weeks
  • Light peels / enzyme peels — wait 7–10 days
  • Laser treatments (IPL, Fraxel, etc.) — wait 2–4 weeks
  • Microneedling — wait 2–3 weeks
  • Facial waxing — wait 5–7 days

Lymphatic Sculpting Facial (45 min), Buccal Facial (60 & 75 min)

Absolute contraindications

  • Accutane (current or recent use)
  • Lymph node removal (for lymphatic portion)
  • Active infection or illness within the past 2 weeks — skip lymphatic drainage

Recent treatments — wait periods

  • Botox — wait 2 weeks (10 days minimum)
  • Fillers — wait 6 weeks
  • Lip fillers — wait 2 weeks; or at least 1 week and avoid the lip area
  • Thread lifts — wait 6 months
  • Face lift or facial surgery — wait 12 weeks for light lymphatic drainage only; wait 1 year before any regular facial massage
  • Chin lipo — lymphatic drainage only (specialized protocol)
  • Microneedling — wait 2–3 weeks
  • Recent dental implants — wait 4 months before buccal massage

Other

  • Active acne (more than 5 active spots)

Pregnancy

  • Safe after the first trimester. Before the first trimester, please check with your doctor before booking.

Buccal Facial with Deep Skincare Treatment (90 min)

All contraindications from the Deep Pore Cleansing Facial and Buccal Facial sections also apply to this treatment.

Additional — pre-treatment skincare pause

  • Tretinoin / prescription retinoids — stop 5–7 days before
  • Retinol — stop 3 days before (or 1–2 days for sensitive skin)
  • Exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) — stop 3–5 days before

Pregnancy

Buccal Facial with Microcurrent Lift (90 min)

All contraindications from the Buccal Facial (60 & 75 min) section also apply to this treatment.

Absolute contraindications

  • Pacemaker or any active implanted device
  • Epilepsy or history of seizures
  • Metal plates or pins in the treatment area
  • Phlebitis / thrombosis
  • Spine problems
  • Recent surgery
  • Recent childbirth
  • Cancer — physician approval required
  • Diabetes — physician approval required
  • Any other medical condition — physician approval letter required before booking

Pregnancy

  • Not suitable during pregnancy.
